A YouTuber who has explored various parts of the world with his adventurous Bengal cat, Mia, is on a mission to assist fellow cat parents in enhancing their furry companions’ lives. Albert Colominas, a 35-year-old senior brand manager living in New York, has shared Mia’s talents and tricks across social media platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram. From traveling on planes and boats to showcasing Mia’s skills such as sitting, rolling over, and jumping onto his shoulder, Albert aims to educate cat owners on effective communication and understanding of their feline friends. With a desire to empower cat parents based on his own learnings and experiences with Mia, Albert hopes to inspire others to create special bonds with their cats and make the most out of their relationships.
Typically, cats tend to avoid water, but Albert defied this norm by taking Mia out for a rowing boat adventure on a lake. He shared, “My goal is to assist cat owners in enhancing their bond with their feline companions.”
According to Albert, understanding a cat’s true nature is essential for providing them with the freedom they crave, without being too pushy. He revealed that he had always longed for a cat since he was a child, but his parents never allowed him to have one due to their dislike for pets.
Additionally, Albert’s allergies to cats only added to his disappointment. His busy schedule filled with travel and sports during his younger years left him with little time to care for a cat, a pattern that continued into his adult life.

Mia, wearing her walking harness, gazed out at the sprawling Petrified Forest National Park in Arizona. It had taken Albert some time to train her to get used to wearing the harness. However, everything changed when he relocated to New York just before the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.
Reflecting on the tumultuous period in his life, Albert shared, “Moving to the US was a huge change for me. I was dealing with my father’s passing, a breakup with my girlfriend, a heavy workload, and then Covid hit. I felt like my life was in shambles.”
Living in a cramped apartment near Manhattan, Albert realized he needed a positive change. “I felt like I was spiraling downwards, so I made the decision to get a cat,” he explained. Visiting an allergist, he discovered that Bengal cats were hypoallergenic. This revelation paved the way for a new chapter with his feline companion.
Mia has learned a variety of cool tricks from the experienced brand manager in Barcelona, such as sitting, rolling over, patiently waiting for food, and even jumping onto his shoulder.

Albert Colominas found a new sense of joy in his life since adopting Mia in New Mexico. Prior to having her, he was navigating through a difficult period after the loss of his father and the end of a significant relationship. Mia’s presence has brought a lightness and comfort to his world, transforming his outlook and helping him find happiness once again.
Albert believes that pet owners should be more adventurous with their cats, like he is with his beloved feline companion Mia. He got Mia from a breeder and named her after a character from the movie Pulp Fiction, a film he adores. Their bond is strong, and they started exploring the outdoors together as soon as lockdown restrictions were lifted in 2020.
To make their outdoor adventures possible, Albert bought a harness for Mia and introduced her to the concept of walking outside gradually. Mia took to it eagerly, and the duo has since journeyed on boats, planes, and road trips together. Albert fondly recalls Mia’s first walk outdoors, noting how she was curious and engaged with her surroundings with her tail held high.
In the lush greenery of the Virgin Islands, Mia found a new home with Albert. Growing up, Albert had always dreamed of having a cat, but his parents never allowed it. Despite this, he felt a strong connection with Mia as he started to push her boundaries and embark on new adventures with her.
Their first road trip together through Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico holds a special place in Albert’s heart. He became deeply attuned to Mia’s needs, ensuring her comfort and building a strong bond between them. As they explored magical places, Albert began sharing their journey on social media, which led to the creation of their YouTube channel, Albert & Mia, the Adventure Bengal Cat.
Through clicker and button training, Albert taught Mia some basic tricks not just for entertainment, but to enhance their communication and shared activities. He emphasized the importance of understanding and connecting with your cat, stating that training goes beyond teaching tricks – it is about building a deeper relationship and mutual understanding.
Albert, Mia’s owner, captured a stunning portrait of his cat gazing up into the sky while they were in Greece. According to Albert, taking cats on adventures or teaching them tricks requires a gradual approach for success. Rushing into new environments or activities without proper training can lead to trauma for the feline. When Albert began taking Mia outside, he focused on her enjoyment and exposure to outdoor settings at her own pace. He emphasized the importance of familiarizing cats with various stimuli, such as people, harnesses, dogs, and children, to ensure their comfort in different situations. Through consistent training, Mia now confidently goes on walks, travels on various modes of transport, and has mastered responding to her name, following commands, and performing tricks for Albert.

The couple, who share a special bond, enjoy lounging in a hammock by the seaside in Spain, as shared by their owner, Albert. They have had their fair share of adventures, such as the time when Mia was chased by a dog on a Mexican beach and sought refuge in a palm tree.
Filled with adrenaline, Albert tried to climb the tree to rescue Mia, only to realize that a step ladder would be a more appropriate tool for the job. While Albert is dedicated to helping cat owners enhance their feline companions’ lives, he believes that the journey is more important than the destination.
