A young and spirited kitten named Collin found himself at a county shelter at just 3-4 weeks old, craving a place to call home. Eager to explore beyond the walls of his kennel, Collin’s energy was palpable. Luckily, a compassionate shelter employee decided to take him in while they sought out a rescue group. When the kind folks at AnimalLuvr’s Dream Rescue caught wind of Collin’s story, they wasted no time in offering to foster him. That very day, Collin was whisked away from the shelter to the warm embrace of a loving and caring household.

“When he got here, he just strutted out of the carrier like he was king of the castle. He immediately sensed he was in a safe place,” shared Allison Ilcken, a foster mother, with Love Meow. This little guy, weighing only one pound, cozied up to his humans, snuggling under their chin. He seemed so hungry for affection, as if he was making up for all the love he missed out on.
Collin had a blast playing with Izzy, the friendly dog. Despite being born with a condition called entropion, which required corrective surgery in the future, Collin showed no signs of slowing down. He fearlessly approached a bigger resident dog, engaging in playfulness by wrestling with her tail and playfully nibbling on her ear. He was a bundle of energy, always on the move with no pause button in sight. Allison @ilckenzoo described Collin as both brave and affectionate, making him an adorable dynamo of a pup.
He came into the world with a rare condition known as entropion. From the moment he arrived, he had a natural affinity for connecting with every animal he met, always eager to make a new friend. So when he discovered another foster kitten in the household, his excitement knew no bounds. The new addition, a ginger tabby named Chloe, was brought in from the outdoors, infested with fleas and in need of a loving foster home, just like him.
Chloe, aka @ilckenzoo, got rid of those annoying fleas with some TLC and yummy meals, and soon she was thriving. Once Chloe was ready to mingle, her human, Allison, knew the perfect pal to bring into her life. Collin had been itching for a playmate for a while, and when he spotted Chloe, a fellow kitten, he couldn’t contain his excitement and headed straight over to her.
Allison told Love Meow that Chloe was a bit hesitant at first, but soon after, they became the best of friends. They started playing and bouncing around together as if they had known each other forever.
Allison shares that her pets are frequently seen cuddling on top of one another for naps. During meal times, they enjoy swapping bowls and intertwining their bodies as they eat.
Allison @ilckenzoo shared that Chloe and Collin are inseparable. Chloe chirps when she can’t locate Collin, and they spend their days snuggling and playing together. Chloe remained by Collin’s side after his eye surgery, providing constant comfort and support as he recovered.
Allison from @ilckenzoo shared that their friendship flourished during this period, and they also added another foster kitten, Carter, to their little family. The dynamic duo enjoy each other’s company as they explore every nook and cranny of the house, finding hidden gems (toys) and engaging in playful chases throughout the day.
