Jester, the massive 20lb rabbit, is living the high life with his very own bedroom in his owner’s house. Lyn Hobson, 60, treats her bunny Jester like a beloved child, despite his weight being equivalent to three chihuahuas. The spoiled 18-month-old rabbit is already dabbling in modeling, but his true passion lies in watching his favorite TV show, Strictly Come Dancing.
Jester, a hefty 20-pound rabbit, belongs to the Continental Giant breed, known for being one of the largest rabbit breeds out there. This oversized bunny even has his own designated bedroom upstairs in his owner Lyn’s house. Lyn, along with her husband, give Jester the freedom to roam throughout their home located near Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, where he can relax in any of the three comfy beds they have set up for him.
According to Lyn, Jester likes to shadow her around the house all day, content to mimic her activities, especially if it involves lounging on the sofa and catching episodes of Strictly Come Dancing. Lyn, a retired chef, frequently shares photos of Jester on social media, which has attracted a flurry of new fans, including a rabbit-loving author.
As a result of this newfound fame, Jester has landed modeling gigs, gracing the cover of an educational book and even starring as the main character in a children’s story. Lyn has big dreams for Jester’s modeling potential and has set up a profile for him on a website where he can be considered for future modeling projects.
Lyn Hobson, a 60-year-old woman from Linconshire near Scunthorpe, North Linconshire, mentioned that her bunny Jester is incredibly pampered and adores watching the TV show Strictly Come Dancing.
Jester has his own cozy bedroom upstairs in Lyn’s home, filled with his toys and hay. Lyn shared that he is impeccably well-behaved and never makes a mess, making him the perfect pet in her eyes.
According to Lyn, Jester is an absolute delight to have around. His gentle and affectionate personality makes him a joy to be around, and she spoils him like a child. Wherever Lyn goes, Jester follows along, whether she’s watching TV or doing chores. He’s incredibly sociable and loves to be near his human family.
Lyn and her husband purchased Jester from a breeder in the North East when he was just a few weeks old, which is why they named him Jester. Instead of keeping him outside in a hutch like most pet rabbits, Lyn trained him to live indoors. Jester is so well-trained that he even wipes his paws before coming inside from the garden.
With free roam of the house, Jester has his own bedroom with three cozy beds, toys, and hay. Lyn acknowledges that having a Continental Giant rabbit as a pet may seem unusual to some, but she couldn’t imagine her life without him.
He has embarked on a new venture as a bunny model, gracing the cover of an educational magazine on the left and starring as the main character in a popular children’s book on the right.
The sweet giant bunny is so well-mannered that he roams freely around the house and, as Lyn mentioned, he even wipes his paws before coming inside from the garden. “Whenever people see him, they always mention how massive he is. Everyone who meets him instantly falls in love, he’s just one of those pets that everyone is drawn to,” Lyn said. She also mentioned that he has appeared in two books, making him a bit of a celebrity in the rabbit world. Lyn hopes he can do more modeling gigs next year, especially around Easter when things can get quite busy.
The Continental Giant, also known as the German Giant, is a breed of rabbit originally bred for meat. The largest one on record measures 4 feet 4 inches long and weighs a hefty 53 pounds.
